J&T Connect Preneur Goes to Campus Arrives in Malang, J&T Express and Universitas Brawijaya Partner to Open an Easy Drop Outlet

Continuing the J&T Connect Preneur Goes to Campus series, J&T Express visited Universitas Brawijaya in Malang. As part of J&T Express’ commitment to supporting the growth of young entrepreneurs in Indonesia, the program not only featured educational sessions for students but was also marked by the signing of a partnership agreement between J&T Express and Universitas Brawijaya for the opening of an Easy Drop outlet on campus.

Carrying the theme “Studentpreneur: Building National-Scale Creative Businesses from a Student City,” the event was held at Widyaloka Hall, Universitas Brawijaya, on June 4 and featured Rizky Arief, CEO of HMNS Perfume, and Rizky Setyo, Founder of Kattoen. Through an interactive talk show, students were invited to explore key aspects of building a business, ranging from product development strategies and defining a unique selling proposition (USP) to creating market demand and scaling local businesses to compete at the national level.

Herline Septia, Brand Manager of J&T Express, stated that the program reflects J&T Express’ commitment to fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs in Indonesia. By bringing together two successful business owners with different business approaches and brand identities, the company hopes students can gain valuable perspectives and practical insights into building businesses in today’s highly competitive digital era.

“J&T Connect Preneur Goes to Campus is part of J&T Express’ commitment to engaging more closely with young people and supporting the emergence of more young entrepreneurs in Indonesia. As interest in entrepreneurship among young people continues to grow, we hope this program can serve as a relevant learning platform that helps them develop their businesses from an early stage,” said Herline.

As a more tangible form of support for student entrepreneurship, J&T Express also signed an agreement to establish an Easy Drop outlet within Universitas Brawijaya. The presence of Easy Drop is expected to make shipping services more accessible for the university community, whether for document delivery or other shipping needs.

Didik Huswo Utomo, Operational Director of PT Brawijaya Multi Usaha, welcomed the collaboration between J&T Express and Universitas Brawijaya through the J&T Connect Preneur Goes to Campus program and the Easy Drop partnership.

“Universitas Brawijaya continues to encourage the development of students who are not only academically excellent but also possess an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to create impactful innovations. We hope that J&T Connect Preneur Goes to Campus and the Easy Drop partnership will provide benefits for students, both through access to practical insights from industry practitioners and through logistics services that can support the growth of their businesses,” said Didik Huswo Utomo.

The Easy Drop outlet is also expected to support students who are building businesses by providing easier access to logistics services directly from the campus environment. This allows students to focus more on growing their businesses and reaching customers across different regions.

Malang was selected as one of the program locations due to its strong entrepreneurial ecosystem among university students. This can be seen through leading universities in the city, such as Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Negeri Malang, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, all of which offer entrepreneurship-related programs. Through J&T Connect Preneur Goes to Campus, J&T Express hopes to provide students with a platform to gain insights and support in developing their businesses from an early stage.

J&T Super Seller: Business Competition with Over IDR 400 Million in Funding Support

In addition to the talk show, J&T Express has also launched J&T Super Seller, a national business competition for university students across Indonesia who have been running a business for at least six months. The competition offers total prizes worth more than IDR 400 million and includes an incubation program for the top 10 participants. During the incubation phase, selected participants will receive intensive mentoring and initial business funding of IDR 20 million each.

“This program is designed not only as a learning platform, but also as an ecosystem that provides students with real opportunities to grow their businesses sustainably. Through this initiative and leveraging our logistics capabilities, J&T Express aims to play a role beyond being a delivery service provider—we want to be a business enabler that supports the growth of young entrepreneurs in Indonesia,” Herline added.

In recognition of its potential impact on students, J&T Connect Preneur Goes to Campus has received support from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. The program is also supported by Narasi, Young on Top, BCA, Prabu, Satu Dental, Kacamatamoo, and Kapal Api, along with media partners including Tribunnews, Kompas.com, Viva, Marketeers, Marketing, Radar Bali, Radar Jogja, Radar Kediri, Radar Semarang, Radar Surabaya, Radar Bandung, Manado Post, Kaltim Post, and Batam Pos.
